Goodbye, Oxford: A New Chapter in Huntsville
It’s bittersweet to write this post, but the time has come for me to say goodbye to Oxford, PA, and hello to Huntsville, Alabama. On September 30th, 2024, my boys, Mason and Cromwell, and I will pack up and head south to start a new chapter in our lives.
Oxford will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s not just a town—it’s where I’ve built lasting friendships and created unforgettable memories. Leaving is not easy, and I know I’ll miss the familiar faces, the warmth of this community, and all the small moments that have made this place feel like home.
But life is about growth and new adventures, and Huntsville offers exciting opportunities for me and my family. It’s a fresh start, filled with promise and potential. While the thought of leaving is daunting, I’m comforted by the fact that ham radio will keep me connected to the people and places I hold dear in Oxford. This hobby of ours is more than just a pastime—it’s a bridge that spans distances and keeps relationships strong.
To my friends in Oxford: thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the support. You’ve made this chapter of my life truly special. I’ll carry your kindness and the spirit of this community with me as I begin this next adventure.
Here’s to new horizons, new friendships, and new memories—without ever forgetting where I came from. Oxford, you’ll always be a part of me.
